Looking for a new puppy or family member?  I was in your shoes just about 4 years ago.  Now keep in mind this is coming from a lifelong “Cat Dude”.  I know the irony is hilarious: a lifelong Cat lover suddenly owning a Dog Website & Goldendoodle Blog.  You know the memes, dad hates the idea of getting a dog.  Then the next moment he’s cuddled up with the dog licking out of his mouth (slight chuckle) because yeah that was me.  I’m a 35 year old Goldendoodle Dad and father of three and happily married. I was the one who hated the idea of getting a dog. As soon as we did… I instantly fell in love with the Goldendoodle Puppy named my kids so excitingly named “RickyBobby”.  Anyway read below to see why the Goldendoodle is the best dog to get if you’re in a family, or a single Soon to be Goldendoodle Mom or Dad.

1.GoldenDoodles are extremely smart:

RickyBobby my 4 year old Goldendoodle

If you are looking to buy a Goldendoodle in the near future. One thing to consider about the Goldendoodle Dog is they are quick learners and very intelligent dogs.  Golden Retrievers bred with Poodle come out young, able to learn tricks fast.  With Medium to intermediate training they are very obedient dogs, natural protectors and extremely loyal.  “They watch you with almost human-like eyes”, my six year old says.  We own a 4 year old GoldenDoodle Named RickyBobby and he is the smartest dog i’ve ever owned. With training that only excelled. (See training investment we used below)

2.GoldenDoodle Dogs are Mini to Large Sized dogs:

Mini Goldendoodle Puppy. Aged 3 months old He will grow to about 18-35 lbs.

Goldendoodles can be mini sized, Compared to the size of a large chihuahua, often called “Mini Doodles” or Mini-Goldendoodles, they are so cute and cuddly.  They’re  perfect depending on your living situation.  If you are looking for a mini companion because you live in an apartment.  If you are just getting your first home and need a Big Dog to help you feel a bit more safe, get a Large Goldendoodle.  All equally smart and  cuddly. Best part about mini GoldenDoodles of course, is they all are hypo-allergenic, big or small.

3.Goldendoodles are fun to play with:

These Goldendoodle dogs can be very fun and highly playful at times.  However Almost all Goldendoodles are natural athletes and very strong dogs even for mini goldendoodles.  Make sure to run and play daily, or go on daily walks so they get their instinctive high energy out.   Of course they love to cuddle from time to time especially after a good run or play time in the backyard.

4.Goldendoodles can have cute names:

Have you ever met a goldendoodle, or a Goldendoodle mix out and about?    They almost always have the cutest names for their Goldendoodles.  I’ve met a “Hank” (pic of doodle).  I met another brownish curly, Mini Goldendoodle named, “Cooper” .  Whatever name you choose for your goldendoodle, they always seem to match their personality.  Oh yeah my favorite was of course my own, “RickyBobby”

5.Goldendoodles are the perfect Family Companion.

Goldendoodles are naturally friendly with almost all animals, like cats and other dogs of all sizes.  Also Goldendoodles are great for young kids and babies.  In my household we have an orange cat tabby and a toddler (now 6 year old).  RickyBobby our GoldenDoodle is so kind to cats and dogs and of course all kids they’re around.

If you are considering what Poodle Mix you want to get.  Or what new dog you should go with.  I would highly consider getting a Goldendoodle rescue.  Or a new family puppy for your new house.  Do your own research, but if you are needing a loyal lifelong smart companion.  I would highly recommend getting a Goldendoodle puppy.
